Nuts & Brew

Reimagining an established brewery for a new generation.

The business position

Nuts & Brew was already an established, trading microbrewery in Guwahati when BDS began work in 2025; the original build is not a BDS credit. The brief was to reposition the business for a new generation of guests. The repositioned venue reopened in April 2025.

That is a different job from an interior refresh. A new room around an unchanged offer gives guests little new reason to visit. Repositioning changes what the business offers, and the room changes with it.

What changed

The work covered the whole guest-facing proposition:

  1. 01Interiors renovated and modernised
  2. 02Food programme redesigned
  3. 03Food and drinks menus redesigned
  4. 04Brewery and beer-programme consultancy
  5. 05Beers on tap expanded from four to eight
  6. 06Staff uniforms redesigned

Why eight taps matter

In a brewery, the tap list is the core of the offer. Four more taps are not simply four more products.

With eight beers on tap, the range can run wider across styles and strengths, core beers can keep pouring while others rotate, and there is more to offer in a tasting or a flight. Each of those gives a guest a reason to choose the brewery, and a reason to come back.

Food, menus and service

The room, the beer, the food and the menus have to tell guests the same thing. The food programme was redesigned alongside the beer, and the food and drinks menus were redesigned to present them as one offer.

New uniforms carry the new position onto the floor, on the people guests meet.
