What this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Breakthrough Design Studio (BDS) is an operator-led hospitality concept, design and development studio based in Gurugram (Gurgaon), Haryana, India. On this page, “we” and “us” mean BDS.
What you send us
The only personal information this website asks for is what you type into the enquiry form on the Work With BDS page. When you send it, we receive:
- your name, email address and city, and your phone number and organisation if you give them
- the type of opportunity and your message, and, if you choose to answer, your project stage and how you heard about BDS
- the date and time you sent the form
- the page you first arrived on, the website that sent you there (if your browser shares it) and, if that link carried them, its campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign)
- where it applies, a marker we use to spot automated spam
To remember where your visit began, your browser keeps those arrival details in its session storage until you close the tab. This is not a cookie, and it reaches us only if you send the form.
What the site collects automatically
This website is hosted on Google’s Firebase Hosting. When your browser loads a page or sends the form, Google’s servers process your IP address and the request itself: the page asked for, the time and the details your browser sends with it. Google says Firebase Hosting uses IP addresses to detect abuse and to produce usage reports, and keeps them for a few months. We do not use this information to identify you.
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking code. Its fonts and images are served from this site, not from other companies’ servers. If we decide to add analytics, we will update this page before it is switched on.
Links to call or email us open the app on your own device, and your phone network or email provider handles that call or message under its own terms. We use what you tell us that way only to reply.
Why we use it
We use your details to read and reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to plan the project. Your project stage, how you heard about us and where your visit began help us see which pages and introductions lead to enquiries. We do not use your details for advertising, add you to a mailing list or sell them.
Sending the form is your choice, and we rely on the consent you give by sending it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us; we will then stop using your details and delete them, unless the law requires us to keep a record.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Enquiries are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, part of Google’s Firebase service, on Google servers in the United States. Google acts as our service provider and handles the data under its own security and data-protection terms.
The website can add an enquiry but cannot read one back; we read enquiries in the Firebase console, which needs a signed-in account with access to the studio’s project. We share them with no one else, unless the law requires it or you ask us to.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to respond and follow up, and then for up to three years as a business record, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If an enquiry leads to a project, the details become part of that project’s records and are kept for as long as the law requires.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and Google encrypts stored data by default. Database rules stop anyone from reading, changing or deleting enquiries through the website.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you
- correct or complete it
- delete it
- stop using it, by withdrawing your consent
We offer these to everyone who contacts us. They follow India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 and the privacy rules made under it in 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its provisions come into force. Once they apply, you may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India if our response does not resolve your concern.
Questions and grievances
Rish Saini, Founder & Director, is responsible for this policy and for privacy requests and grievances. Call +91 98187 00006, or send the enquiry form, choosing “Other” and saying it is a privacy request. We may first need to confirm who you are, and we will resolve your request within one month of receiving it.
Children and other websites
This site is for people enquiring about hospitality businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. Links to Instagram, press articles and other sites take you to services we do not control, each with its own privacy policy.
